I went to see Elstree Studios which has been located in the UK since 1914. At this time, it was the largest production studio outside of Hollywood.
Britain's first sound film, Alfred Hitchcock's 'Blackmail' was filmed here. Other films filmed at Elstree were Star Wars in 1977, The Shining in 1980 and the Indiana Jones Franchise.
TV shows filmed here include The Muppet Show and Eastenders (a UK Soap Opera).
